Melba J. Bjorklund, age 86, Sartell, MN, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Country Manor Care Center, Sartell, MN.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Melba was born February 3, 1930 in St. Cloud, MN to Clarence and Elsie (Mix) Ness. She married Charles Bjorklund on August 30, 1952 in St. Cloud, MN. They later divorced. During her working career, Melba was employed by Daytons, Good Shepherd, Coborns and Curves of Sauk Rapids. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteered as a senior companion for Stearns County and Lutheran Social Services.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynn (Jeff) Snyder of Sauk Rapids, MN; sons, Ronald (Lori) Bjorklund of Sartell, MN; Keith (Kathy) Bjorklund of Sauk Raids, MN; sister, Dolores Hurlocker of Spring Valley, CA; step brothers, Warren Hultman of Maple Grove, MN; Jim Hultman of Shelby, NC; step sister, Betty Ann (Don) Arseneau of Coon Rapids, MN; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Margaret Ness, son, Steven Bjorklund, brother, Ronald Ness, two step sisters, Maxine Peterson and Muriel Sirois. |
