Emma K. Lange, age 102, Waite Park, MN died Saturday October 17, 2015 at Sterling Park Health Care Center, Waite Park, MN.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Richmond Hill, NY.
Emma was born January 18, 1913 in Fischerhude, Germany to Hinrich and Anna (Ruschmeyer) Miesner. She married Ernest W. Lange on July 14, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York. She lived on Long Island, New York for over 50 years. She moved to Waite Park in 1983.
Family was most important to Emma, her husband, her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to play cards, dominos, loved her vegetable garden, made many crocheted and knitted blankets, baking, doing puzzles, shopping. She used to love to visit Michelle, her "mushy" she used to call her. When her grandchildren were young, she would always volunteer to babysit which made her very happy. She spent hours and hours playing with her children, grand children and great grand children, all of whom loved her very much.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Arthur W. Lange of Apple Valley, MN; Denise L. Doto of Fairless Hills, PA; three great grandchildren; two step grandchildren, Michelle Glaubert of Redwood City, CA; Cheri Cerna of San Mateo, CA; daughter-in-laws, Gladys Lange of San Mateo, CA and Diane Hurst of Levittown, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest W. Lange; two sons, Ralph Lange, Arthur Lange; one granddaughter, Michelle Lange; four sisters, Mathilda, Margaret, Frieda, Henny and one brother, Heinrich. |
