     JoAnn I. Goodrie Higgins, age 75, St. Cloud, MN died Friday, August 28, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Peace United Church of Christ, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     JoAnn was born March 22, 1940 in Beach, North Dakota to Harold and Garnet (Hathaway) Feldhusen. She graduated from Jamestown College, Jamestown, ND. JoAnn married Robert Zoller in 1965; they later divorced. On June 7, 1986 JoAnn married Leo D. Goodrie in Grand Forks, ND; he died on March 11, 2007. JoAnn married Willard C. Higgins on October 16, 2010 in St. Cloud, MN; he died on October 4, 2013.
     JoAnn's passion as a young woman was theater. She was involved with theatrical productions starting in high school and through college at Jamestown. In 1971, JoAnn was one of the founders of a community theater group in Minot, ND called the Mouse River Players. She was their Theater Director until 1977. She wrote and directed “The Great American Prairie Baseball Game”, which was commissioned by the State of North Dakota for Minot's bicentennial celebration in 1976. The Mouse River Players are still active in Minot today. JoAnn's other professional accomplishments include Director of Development for the University of North Dakota Medical School in Grand Forks, ND; and Director of Development for the Mental Health Center in Grand Forks, ND.
     JoAnn was an active member of Peace United Church of Christ and was on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Conference of the United Church of Christ.
     Survivors include her children, Jason (Pam) Zoller and their two children, Anna and Noah, of Olathe, KS; and Jennifer (Adam) Bernstein and their three children, Elise, Tess and Phoebe, of Edina, MN; sister-in-law, Donna Feldhusen of Colona, IL; and aunt, Lucy Siercks of St. Cloud, MN.
     Her parents, her husbands, Leo Goodrie and Willard Higgins, and her brother, Gerald Feldhusen, preceded her in death.
     Memorials are preferred.
