     Marilyn Emilie Benn, age 75, Waite Park, MN, died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at her home.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud MN.
     Marilyn was born February 27, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN to Milton and Florence (Arlander) Peel. She married James H. Benn on September 10, 1960 in St. Cloud, MN. Marilyn was employed as a registered nurse at Fairview Hospital. She took time off to raise her family and then returned to work at the St. Cloud Hospital for 10 years, retiring on April 1, 1994. Marilyn and James moved to Walker, MN in 1994 and returned to the St. Cloud area in 2005. She was an active member of Atonement Lutheran Church. Marilyn loved fishing, spending time at Leech Lake with family and traveling the world. She was also very good at staying in touch with family and friends.
     Survivors include her husband, James of Waite Park, MN; son, Jeff (Jacqueline) Benn of Clearwater, MN; daughter, Margaret Benn of Fergus Falls, MN; brother, Jonathan Peel of Osseo, MN; sister, Barbara Streed of Mankato, MN; five grandchildren, Mariah, Marilin and Jeffrey Benn, Nicole Snyder and Ryan Pauling; three great grandchildren, Connor Snyder, Jace and Vince Pauling.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
     Memorials are preferred to Atonement Lutheran Church
