     Walter Joseph Tadych, Jr., Age 70, Kimball, MN, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital
     There will be no funeral service. Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Burial will be in Maine Prairie Cemetery, Kimball, MN.
     Walter was born February 23, 1944 in St. Cloud, MN to Walter J. and Irene (Miller) Tadych, Sr. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. Walter married Sandi I. Lunde on September 4, 1993 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball, MN. Walter was employed by Advanced Machine for more than 36 years, retiring in July 2005. He also served as the constable for Fairhaven Township. Walter was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Kimball, MN, past member and past commander of Kimball American Legion Post #261, and member of Waite Park American Legion Post #428. He loved to hunt and fish and was well known for his pickled fish, and zucchini bread and cake. Walter appreciated classic cars and enjoyed working with wood. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren who he enjoyed pulling on the inter tube at the lake. Walter knew where every watering hole was and the specials that they offered. He also loved entertaining family and friends at the lake.
     Survivors include daughter, Robin (Bob) Stein and their children, Natalie and Zach of Kimball, MN; son, Ryan Tadych and his children, Billy and Emily of Clearwater, MN; brothers, Kenneth Tadych of St. Cloud, MN; Eugene Tadych of Sauk Rapids, MN; special friend Rose Zumwinkle of St. Cloud, MN; stepchildren, Kenneth (Petrina) Mehr and their children Markus, Brady, Andrew and Destyn of Kimball, MN; Jason (Amy) Mehr and their children Dylan, Austin and Benjamin of St. Joseph, MN; Dana (Joe) Voigt and their children Lucas, Kasandra and Elizabeth of Waite Park, MN; and Tammy (Bernadette) Mehr of St. Cloud, MN.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sandi on February 9, 2012, and one sister, Rosemary Anderson.
