Marian F. Truenow, age 84, Sauk Rapids, MN died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, MN. Rev. Paul Cloeter and Rev. Harvey Ehlers will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN with arrangements by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Marian was born September 28, 1929 in Deer Creek, MN, to Anker and Anna Aagard. She married Walter C. Truenow on October 20, 1955 in Wadena, MN. Marian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, MN and was active with the Ladies Aide. She loved reading, watching Twins Baseball, fishing, going to garage sales, auctions and flea markets, watching birds, flowers and her cat CD. Her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter were her pride and joy.
Survivors include her sons, Rev. David (Beverly) Truenow of Peoria, AZ; James (Carol) Truenow of Sauk Rapids, MN; four granddaughters, Tammy (Mark II) Truenow-Eisenbeis; Tracy Truenow; Becky (Martin Jr.) Gjerde; and Lynette Truenow; one great-granddaughter, Layla Truenow-Garding; sister, Margaret Jobe of Fenton, MI; sister-in-laws, Alma Peterson of Clear Lake, MN and Elvera Truenow of Arlington, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter on December 14, 2001; and one brother, Elmer Aagard.
Memorials are preferred.
