     Rose Marie Gronau, age 86, St. Cloud, MN, died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud MN, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Rose was born January 14, 1927 in St. Cloud, MN to Julius and Frances (Glasner) Reimer. She married Edward W. Gronau on February 1, 1947 in St. Cloud, MN. Rose was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, and a life member of St. Cloud VFW Post #428 Auxiliary. She enjoyed embroidery, tie quilting, reading and jigsaw puzzles.
     Survivors include her sons, William “Bill” Gronau of St. Cloud, MN; John (Donna) Gronau of Monticello, MN; brother, James (Geneva) Reimer of Sauk Rapids, MN; sisters, Gail Tenvoorde of St. Cloud, MN; Jean J. (Van) Newton of Fayetteville, NC; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward, on December 8, 2001, and three brothers, Julius Reimer, Cpl. Francis Reimer and Rev. Thomas Reimer.
     Memorials are preferred.
     The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Garden Cottage and Activities Department of Country Manor, for their care of and help to our Mom during her stay at Country Manor.
