Elizabeth “Betty” June Wedin, age 78, Rice, MN, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Betty was born March 9, 1935 in Mountain Park, OK to Lambert and Ester (Bahe) Orth. She married Parnell “Mickey” J. Wedin on April 16, 1954 in St. Cloud, MN. Betty was employed by Catholic Charities as a counselor for over 25 years. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Cheryl) Wedin of Clearwater, MN; Thomas Wedin of St. Cloud, MN; Tim (Colette) Wedin of Kernville, CA; Terry Wedin of Denver, CO; John Wedin of St. Cloud, MN; Mary (Dave) Van Hale of Royalton, MN; Dan (Terry) Wedin of St. Cloud, MN; and Joe Wedin of St. Cloud, MN; brothers, Richard Theisen of Woodbury, MN; Robert Theisen of Uvalde, TX; Thomas Theisen of St. Cloud, MN; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mickey on September 29, 1987, and grandson, Dillon.
Pallbearers will be David Wedin, Lisa Anderson, Terry Mertens, Christopher Theisen, Alycia Wedin and Georjean (Zwack) Fischer-Fabel. |
