     Clay Lee Watson, age 61, St. Cloud, MN, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Augusta, MN.
     Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Clay was born February 9, 1952 in Aitkin, MN to Roy and Fauntel (Thompson) Watson. He was united in marriage to Debra Lunderby on July 15, 1972 in Hawick, MN. Clay has been employed by Gold’n Plump Poultry for the past 30 years as Environmental Services Manager. He was a member of the Minnesota Wastewater Operators Association and was awarded Class A Operator of the Year in 2006. Clay was a longtime active member of Salem Lutheran Church, serving as a member and president of the church council. He was also a member of St. Cloud Lions Club.
     Survivors include his wife, Deb Watson of St. Cloud, MN; son, Ryan (Kelly) Watson of Fargo, ND; daughter, Kimberly (Jeff) Belben of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers, Brad (Patricia) Watson of Motley, MN; Darold (Mavis) Watson of Salem, OR; sister, Lavedia (Don) Grovender of Hinkley, MN; and two granddaughters, Abigail and Alayna Watson.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Phyllis Deshayes, and brother, Floyd Watson.
     Pallbearers will be Jeff Belben, Blaine Larson, Ray Watson, Ronald Olmscheid, Bob Murphy, Lloyd Beniek, John Schiel, and Math Miller.
     Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church Foundation or Quiet Oaks Hospice House.
     The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Dozois, nurse, Julie Bakken, the Mayo Clinic staff, Rev. Wayne Anderson, Rev. Kristen Anderson and the Quiet Oaks Hospice House staff.
