     Willard “Bill” Clare Higgins, age 92, St. Cloud, MN died Friday, October 4, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
     Funeral services will be Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Peace United Church of Christ, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. Funeral arrangements by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Bill was born October 17, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN to William P. and Claire C. (Flake) Higgins. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bill worked for and retired from Honeywell, where he had been employed as a data systems manager. He was a long time resident of Minneapolis and Annandale. On October 16, 2010 Bill married JoAnn Ilene Feldhusen Zoller Goodrie at Peace United Church of Christ, St. Cloud, MN. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ. Bill was an avid ham radio operator and was founder and president of Ham Radio Club in Minnesota.
     Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Higgins of St. Cloud, MN; son, David (Mary Ann) Higgins of Minneapolis, MN; step son, Jason (Pam) Zoller of Olathe, KS; step daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Bernstein of Edina, MN; granddaughter, Lucy Higgins; and five step grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents and second wife, Gina.
