Frances M. Kollmann, age 89, Waite Park, MN, formerly of St. Joseph, MN, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Frances will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic, St. Joseph, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery, St. Martin, MN.
Frances was born February 10, 1924 in Lake Henry, MN to Mathias and Elizabeth (Meyer) Hemmesch. She was united in marriage to Bernard N. Kollmann on May 29, 1945 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN. They farmed in St. Martin Township from 1945-1973 and then moved to St. Joseph, MN. Frances was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph, MN, Christian Women, Crosier Apostolates, Catholic Aid and Catholic Order of Foresters.
Frances’ joy of her life were her children, grandchildren and their families. She also enjoyed gardening, canning especially her “special pickles” for everyone and quilting. We will all miss her chicken and dressing, homemade bread and pies.
Survivors include her daughter and sons and their families, Elaine Jungels, Richard (Diana) Kollmann, Dennis (Sandi) Kollmann, Roger (LuAnn) Kollmann and Paul (Carolyn) Kollmann. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard on March 24, 2007, son-in-law, Robert E. Jungels on September 2, 2010, grandson, Jim on October 15, 2002, five brothers, Peter, Henry, Nick, Joseph and Paul Hemmesch, and three sisters, Helen Schleper, Mathilda Miller and Theresa Miller.
Special thanks to the staff at Sterling Park Care Center and St. Cloud Hospital for the special and loving care they gave to Frances.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. |
