Stella Elaine Wenstrom was born to Ellen (Nelson) and Harold Wenstrom on August 23, 1921 in Minneapolis, MN. Later her parents divorced and Ellen married Ansgar Youngmark. Stella attended country schools in the Clarkfield and Montevideo area and graduated from Maynard High School in 1940. During this time she went by the Youngmark name. That same year she married Earl D. Larson of Montevideo, and to this union five daughters were born: Gloria Jean, Judith Elaine, JoAnn, Janice Ellen, and Juanita Kay.

Stella had a love for music and played the organ as well as guitar with her brothers, Douglas and Linne Youngmark. She had a beautiful singing voice and harmonized so well with her siblings. The memories of her sweet voice will live on in the hearts of her family.
