Lorraine Henrietta Hanson Orstad, age 93, Elk River, MN, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River, MN.
Celebration of her life will be on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 3:00 PM with visitation one hour before service at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 14501 Nowthen Blvd., Ramsey, MN. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Lorraine Henrietta Hanson Orstad was born on March 12, 1919 to David H. Hanson and Clara E. Jolson. She married in Washington, DC on March 24, 1944 and is survived by her husband of 68+ years, Raymond, daughter, Janet Cameron and son, Chuck (Kjia) Orstad, son-in-law, Eugene Quast, grandchildren: Sean (Ammy) Cameron, Karina (Jesse) Pabst, Josh Cameron, Sook (Jack) Bostelman, Jinae (Roshan) Boolchandani, Doug (Michelle) Melberg, Ray (Jennifer) Melberg, John Charles (Katie) Melberg, Charissa Rosser, Chase (Tara) Orstad, Cayle Orstad, Chressin Orstad; great grandchildren: Kody, Aubree, Brayden, Chase, Brandon, Aashna, Ava, Amelie, Maddie, Libby, Alyssa, Brody, Aurora, North and Elle.
Also survived by siblings, Russ (June) Hanson, Milt (Charlotte) Hanson, Marcia (Curt) Stroman, Marlow Hanson and cousin and sister-in-law, Ruth Orstad, who was responsible for Lorraine and Ray even meeting. Many nieces, nephews, greats and cousins, as well as friends made in many places, will also miss Lorraine.
Preceded in death by daughters, Mary Jo, Helen K. Quast and Marilynn J. Melberg, son-in-law, Kenn Cameron and grandson-in-law, Nathan Rosser. Also by siblings, Orv (Ann) Hanson, David (Helen) Hanson and Bernice Hanson and of course, her parents. |
