Marge was born on May 5, 1917 in Nevis, MN. She married James Brum on November 4, 1941 in Park Rapids. Marge lived an active life in St. Cloud for over 65 years. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marge was an active member of St. Augustine Parish, the D of I, and St. Jude's Society. Marge and James Brum loved fishing and were avid square dancers, card players, gardeners and travelers. She was known for her sewing, love of baking, embroidery, and canning. Marge loved Christmas with all of her baking, shopping and gatherings of her children and grandchildren.
Marge is survived by her son Mike Brum (Diane) living in St. Cloud; her daughter-in-law Barb Brum living in Dallas, Texas; and her daughter Nancy Retzinger (Jamie) living in Ankeny, Iowa. Marge has 8 lovely adult granddaughters and 2 wonderful adult grandsons. Marge also has 16 adorable great grandchildren. All were the focus and love of Marge's life.
Marge is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Brum, and her elder son, James F. Brum (Dallas, Texas), her beloved mother, Josephine and two sisters, Florence and Dorothy.
Our family wishes to thank the staff of Good Shepherd for their respectful and kind care of Marge this past year and a half, and the staff of Ridgeview Assisted Living for their care and support. We also thank the many friends who loyally visited Marge over these years. Your constant presence and love shown to her was a comfort to Marge and her children more than words can express.
