July 6, 1938 ~ December 17, 2012
Charles “Charlie” A. Anderson, age 74, St. Cloud, MN, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at his home with family by his side.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
Charlie was born July 6, 1938 in St. Paul, MN to Charles W. and Elizabeth “Beth” (Zimmerman) Anderson. He married LaDrene Michealson on February 6, 1959 in St. Paul, MN. Charlie served in the United States Navy. He was employed by Buckbee Mears, Old Home Foods and most recently by EnviroTech at Centra Care Clinic River Campus in St. Cloud. Charlie was a member and past commander of North Branch American Legion Post #85. He enjoyed raising pigs on the family farm as well as fishing, cribbage and card games. Charlie was a very hard worker and took great care and pride in what he owned.
Charlie will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, LaDrene of St. Cloud, MN; son and daughters, Cheryl (Patrick) Schreifels of St. Cloud, MN; Chris Anderson of South Minneapolis, MN; Charles “Dan” (Karen Reber) Anderson of Sartell, MN; Cindy (Craig Thiry) Stoffel of Forest Lake, MN; Carrie (Michael) Ohnstad of Coon Rapids, MN; Terri Scanlon of South Minneapolis, MN; sister, Janette (Bill) Valentine of Springfield, MO; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and many close special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald and Keith, and three sisters, Donna, Leone and June.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice Staff and the Coborn Cancer Center Staff for taking such great care of their husband and father. |
