     Florence V. Gibson, age 95, St. Cloud, MN died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
     Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Order of Eastern Star prayer service will be at 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Florence was born August 12, 1917 in St. Cloud, MN to Arthur and Hedvig (Hollinder) Burwick. She graduated from Ahles Business College in St. Cloud, MN. After graduation Florence went to work for Zapp National Bank, St. Cloud as a bookkeeper for over 10 years. On August 24, 1942 Florence was united in marriage to Rudolph “Rudy” W. Gibson in St. Cloud, MN. Together they owned and operated Gibson Heating Service in St. Cloud for over 30 years. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, St. Cloud Order of Eastern Star Granite Chapter No. 5, and a former member of St. Cloud White Shrine.
     Florence possessed a sparkling wit and sense of humor permitting her to bring laughter to every occasion. She was an avid fisherman and seized any opportunity to wet a line. Other hobbies included gardening, where she was very proud of her flower beds and her small vegetable plot, and ceramics, where she spent countless hours crafting figurines for gifts to friends and family. Florence loved her family and viewed all family gatherings as a celebration. Florence will be missed greatly by her friends and family.
     Survivors included her children, Dale (Peggy) Gibson of Huron, South Dakota; Myrna (David) Leigh of St. Cloud, MN; Donald (Kathy) Gibson of Stacy, MN; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and sister, Harriet (Herb) Swanson of Sun City, AZ.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rudy on May 27, 1989, one granddaughter, Jessica Gibson and a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Myrel Burwick.
     Memorials are preferred.
     Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Dane and Cat Gibson, Jason and Erika Ruch, Camille Wulfers, Michael Gibson, Carrie Werk, Ryan and Kim Leigh, Kinsey and Bryan Langevin, Halley Gibson and Cassandra Gibson.
