    BEATRICE V. ALLEN, 100
    Sartell
    July 1, 1912 ~ September 11, 2012

Beatrice Viola Allen, age 100, Sartell, MN died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in the Memory Care Unit at The Legends at Heritage Place, Sartell, MN, where she has resided since May 2009.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Beatrice was born July 1, 1912 in St. Cloud, MN to George and Carrie (Callendar) Allen. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School. In 1929, Beatrice married Albert Mohs. Albert died in April 1930 and their daughter, Janice Alberta was born the following May 29, 1930, thus leaving Beatrice as a young widow while she was still 17 years old. She was employed at Weber Jewelry, Grundman Motors and later Fingerhut, from where she retired in 1972. From 1972 to 2009 Beatrice resided at Pleasant Lake. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Beatrice was a gifted artist, she did beautiful hand work and sewing. Actually there wasn’t anything she couldn’t do, even to the extent of wood working. Beatrice was a marvelous housekeeper, baker and cook. She loved being outdoors, taking care of her lawn, shrubs and flowers. Beatrice always had a fondness for animals, especially dogs...she had many pets over the years. When the dogs became too difficult for her to walk daily, she adopted pet cats.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kari B. Ahles and her husband, Gary of St. Cloud MN; son-in-law, Everett (Delores) Rasmussen of St. Cloud, MN; great grandson, Cole Hedlund; three step great granddaughters, Kristin Ahles, Katie (Larry) Fallang, and Erin (David) Carlsen; and three step great great granddaughters, Aaliyah and Dasia Carlsen, and Anna Fallang.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Mohs, and daughter Janice Alberta Rasmussen.
The family would like to extend a special thank you the staff of The Legends at Heritage Place and Hospice for the loving and compassionate care that they provided for Beatrice during her time there.
