Mary Junor Skelly, age 63, died peacefully with her husband at her side on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud, MN.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be Ardenhurst-Alvwood Cemetery, Bergville, MN.
Mary was born September 2, 1948 in Littlefork, MN to John and Nita Rose. She married Raymond L. Skelly on June 29, 1979 in Bemidji, MN. She graduated from Bemidji High School and Bemidji State University. Mary taught for two years in Oslo, MN, before her thirty-year tenure at Monticello Middle School. She was a giving and caring person who truly loved spending time with friends and family. Mary loved to read, travel and play on her computer. Her favorite holiday was Christmas so she could display her vast collection of Santa’s and her summers were spent pontooning with friends and following the Twins.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Ray Skelly of St. Cloud, MN; mother, Nita Rose of Sartell, MN; brother, David (Sandi) Rose of Santa Barbara, CA, and niece, Summer Lowry of Santa Barbara, CA.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Brandon, father, John Rose and sister, Dee Koskela.
