     Donald W. Allen, age 92, St. Cloud, MN, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community, St. Cloud, MN.
     Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11:30 AM at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, July 20, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN, and one half hour prior to the service on Saturday at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Donald was born October 12, 1919 in Benton County, MN to Wallace and Ella (Nordquist) Allen. On March 28, 1946 he married Margaret Pick in Baltimore, MD. Donald served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a stock holder and employed at the St. Cloud Granite City Iron Works, a partner with his brother in Allen Woodworking & Marine. Donald also worked for Woodcraft Industries. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a caring helpful citizen. Donald loved music and his favorite activities were dancing, sailing, fishing and skiing.
     Donald is survived by daughter, Grace (James) Boelz of Wausau, WI; sons, Donald E. (Imelda) Allen of St. Cloud, MN; Charles (Patricia) Allen of Bemidji, MN; Bruce Allen and Margaret Rivard of Brooklyn Center, MN; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret, brother, Gerald Allen and sister, Doris Studer.
